Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR has acquired Tactacam, a company that has established itself as a market leader in cellular-connected cameras serving both outdoor enthusiasts and security customers, according to an announcement dated Sept. 28, 2026.
The partnership is structured to accelerate Tactacam's commercial execution and broaden the distribution channels through which its cellular trail and security cameras reach consumers, the company said. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.
